What you can do
The Core at Corby Cube has a strong commitment to accessibility and aims to make the venue welcoming and comfortable for people with different access needs. The building has level access in key areas, lifts to the Stalls and Circle, accessible toilets and dedicated wheelchair spaces. Accessible parking is also available nearby, and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue.
The theatre supports visitors who may have difficulty standing, using stairs or being in crowded environments. Seating is available in the foyer areas, and staff can provide additional assistance when required. For relaxed performances, the venue also provides a breakout space where visitors can take a break from busy areas or from the performance.
The Core offers a range of accessible performances, including BSL interpreted, captioned, audio-described and relaxed shows. Audio-described performances can be supported with headsets, and selected performances may also include Touch Tours, allowing visitors to explore parts of the stage, set, props and costumes before the show.
The venue also uses the Nimbus Access Card and Digital Access Pass scheme to help understand individual access requirements. People who need an Essential Companion can have this requirement recorded through the scheme. Overall, The Core takes a broad approach to accessibility, covering physical access, hearing and visual support, sensory needs and additional assistance during a visit.
